Charming grounds but needs some TLC

The beautiful grounds create a lovely atmosphere. The quaint restaurant offered solid meals, although a bit overpriced for what’s served. Our stay in the King Room was mixed. it’s suggested to request a newer unit for an improved experience. Enjoy the outdoor scenery for a relaxing time!

the ambience and history of the publick house is charming. our room had two queen beds, and it was spacious and nicely decorated. breakfast was included, which was a nice touch. the staff were super courteous and always accommodating to our large family, making our stay enjoyable.

Lacking common amenities like a microwave or fridge made keeping drinks cold a challenge, and I experienced brief hot water interruptions, which were frustrating during shower time. The carpets on the stairs were worn, and the shower bar could use replacing—it detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience.

It was just a top selection for a weekend in Sturbridge with reasonable price. Enjoyed a warm, cozy lunch by a roaring fireplace. Make sure to ask for a room in the newer building for a better experience.
